Role Title: Remote Frontend Software Engineer (AI Training & UI Development)
Job Type: Contract / Freelance
Location: Remote (US Target Market)
About the Role
EliteCareers is partnering with micro1 to source expert Frontend Software Engineers for a high-impact, remote contract project. In this role, you will bridge the gap between world-class user interface design and next-generation artificial intelligence.
We are looking for frontend specialists to build exceptional, responsive user interfaces while simultaneously training advanced AI models. Your daily coding expertise will directly shape how AI systems learn, reason, and interpret visual components. No prior AI experience is required—your core engineering skills and domain knowledge are what drive this project forward. If you excel at turning complex component style guides and screenshots into pixel-perfect, highly responsive web interfaces, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Core Responsibilities & Scope of Work
Pixel-Perfect UI Development: Translate detailed component style guides, wireframes, and interface screenshots into precise, visually stunning UI deliverables.
Modern Frontend Coding: Implement highly responsive web components using TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Design System Alignment: Ensure all user interface elements adhere strictly to established design systems and modern web accessibility standards.
Asynchronous Collaboration: Document code clearly and provide constructive feedback within a distributed, remote-first team environment.
Proactive Problem Solving: Identify, communicate, and resolve ambiguities or inconsistencies in design specifications early in the development cycle.
Performance Optimization: Optimize UI performance across a wide variety of devices, ensuring rapid load times and smooth, fluid animations.
AI Model Training: Contribute your frontend engineering expertise to review, refine, and guide the development of next-generation AI models.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Professional Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience delivering high-quality frontend engineering solutions.
Technical Stack: Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
Visual Precision: A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to build pixel-perfect user interfaces from visual references.
Design Systems: Direct experience working with, maintaining, or extending component style guides and comprehensive design tokens.
Communication: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective asynchronous documentation.
Autonomy: Self-motivated mindset with the ability to deliver high-quality results independently in a distributed project environment.
Bonus Points: An advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is a plus, but not required.
