Role Overview

EliteCareers is recruiting for a critical project where you will apply your engineering expertise to build, refine, and test the capabilities of large-scale AI models.

No prior AI experience is necessary—your core software engineering knowledge, problem-solving ability, and coding mastery are what matters most. In this role, you will design and develop complex Reinforcement Learning (RL) environments that challenge AI models to solve real-world engineering problems using advanced Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build RL Benchmark Environments: Design reproducible, scalable reinforcement learning environments that evaluate an AI model’s ability to reason, code, and utilize development tools effectively.

  • Evaluate AI Software Skills: Create and implement complex engineering tasks—ranging from bug fixing and feature implementation to code refactoring and performance optimization—that require AI agents to explore, discover, and analyze information from real MCP servers.

  • Develop Deterministic Verifications: Construct robust testing protocols, establish golden reference solutions, and design performance tuning metrics to accurately measure both tool usage and engineering aptitude in AI models.

  • Contribute to AI Safety & Ethics: Shape how next-generation AI systems learn and reason by providing high-quality, expert-level input and evaluation within a structured, safe framework.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Core Programming Mastery: Proven proficiency in at least one key language: Python, C++, Java, Go, TypeScript, or Rust.

  • Engineering Depth: Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, system architecture, and performance optimization.

  • Problem-Solving Experts: Extensive experience in debugging complex software issues, building production-ready features, and maintaining large codebases.

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for explaining complex technical constraints and results.

  • Collaborative & Remote Savvy: Success working in asynchronous, cross-functional, and remote teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience contributing to large-scale, distributed software development projects.

  • Familiarity with enterprise code review standards, modern testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Exposure to modern AI systems, LLM evaluation pipelines, or tool-use protocols is a plus (but not required).
