EliteCareers is seeking a remote Junior Python Game Developer with hands-on experience in the Panda3D engine to help train and refine next-generation AI systems.
In this unique contract role, you will use your domain expertise to evaluate, improve, and generate high-quality game development code samples. No prior AI experience is required—your practical programming skills and game logic expertise are what matter most.
Key Responsibilities
Code Evaluation & Optimization: Review, critique, and optimize interactive game development code samples and architecture using Python and C++.
Panda3D Implementation: Utilize the Panda3D engine to build, test, and suggest workflow improvements for 3D rendering, asset management, and core gameplay mechanics.
AI Training Input: Contribute diverse, domain-specific programming examples to enhance the AI’s understanding of modern game development pipelines.
Technical Documentation: Document and explain your coding logic and technical decision-making processes in a clear, structured format for AI training optimization.
Collaborative Iteration: Participate in continuous feedback loops with a global, distributed team of engineers to elevate AI learning outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Python Proficiency: Solid hands-on experience writing clean, efficient Python code, preferably within interactive software or game development environments.
Panda3D Engine Expertise: A strong understanding of Panda3D framework concepts, including 3D scene graphs, physics, and rendering mechanics.
C++ Familiarity: Basic knowledge of C++ and its integration or binding mechanisms within Python-based game engines.
Version Control: Proficient with Git and GitHub for version control, collaborative code reviews, and pull request workflows.
Communication: Ability to break down and explain complex technical concepts and debugging processes clearly and concisely.
Mindset: Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and the self-discipline to thrive in a 100% remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Active contributions to open-source software, indie game titles, or GitHub repositories.
